The short answer
We install wallpaper, murals and accent walls in Cooper City homes, including tall stairwells and great rooms. Our crews bring the right access equipment and match patterns carefully over long vertical runs.
Cooper City is a residential city in Broward County, about eight miles north of our base in Miami Gardens. Its neighborhoods lean toward single-family houses with yards, many in planned communities with homeowners associations, and plenty of two-story layouts with tall great rooms and open staircases. Those spaces create design opportunities that smaller homes do not: a stairwell wall that rises two stories, a double-height living room, a dining area visible from the second-floor landing. They also bring practical questions about ladders, scaffolding and pattern matching over long drops. That is the kind of work we plan for when we head up to Cooper City.
Tall Walls and Stairwells
A two-story foyer or stair wall is one of the most rewarding places to hang a bold pattern, and one of the trickiest. Panels can run well beyond standard lengths, so a small alignment error at the top becomes obvious at the bottom. We plumb a starting line with a laser, plan the seam layout so no narrow sliver ends up in a prominent corner, and cut each drop with enough allowance to match the repeat.
On stairs, we set up adjustable platforms that sit safely on the treads instead of leaning ladders against fresh paper. Floors and banisters are covered before any paste comes out.
- Laser-plumbed layout for long vertical drops
- Stair-safe platforms and padded ladder feet
- Seam planning that keeps slivers out of sight lines
- Extra rolls ordered from the same production run to keep color consistent
Open-Concept Rooms
Many Cooper City floor plans join the kitchen, family room and breakfast area into one space. Wallpapering every surface there can feel overwhelming. A better approach is usually one strong wall, such as the area behind a dining table or the fireplace surround, paired with paint elsewhere. Grasscloth adds warmth to a large room, while a mural creates a focal point visible from several angles.
Ceiling wallpaper is worth considering in a tray ceiling over a dining table or primary bedroom. It turns an architectural detail into a design feature.
Prepping Newer Drywall
Homes built in recent decades usually have smooth drywall finished with flat builder paint. It looks fine but is porous and can let adhesive soak in unevenly. We apply a primer designed for wallcovering so panels slide into position and can be removed later without destroying the drywall face. Where a previous owner hung paper without primer, removal takes more care, and we repair any torn facing before rehanging.
Corner bead, outlet covers and switch plates are handled cleanly so the finished wall looks tailored.
Climate Notes for Western Broward
Inland Broward does not get the salt spray of the beaches, but the humidity is just as relentless from May through October. Large homes sometimes have multiple AC zones, and an upstairs zone that is set warmer when unused can let moisture build. We ask how each zone is run before recommending natural fibers for a bonus room or guest suite. Vinyl and non-woven products remain dependable choices for bathrooms, laundry rooms and kitchens.
Removing Paper From a Previous Owner
Resale homes in Cooper City sometimes arrive with dated wallpaper in the kitchen, a bathroom or a child's room. Taking it down well is its own skill. We test a small area first to learn whether the paper is strippable, peelable or bonded, then choose between dry stripping, steam or a solution that softens old paste. The goal is to get the wall back to sound drywall without gouges.
Once the paper is off, we wash away residual adhesive, which would otherwise make new paint crack or new paper bubble. Damaged spots get compound, sanding and primer. From there you can repaint or move straight to a new covering. Some buyers choose to strip only the rooms that bother them most and keep a vintage paper elsewhere because they like its character, and we can help you judge whether an older paper is in good enough shape to stay.
Nearby Service Areas
Interior wallpaper rarely needs association approval, but some communities have rules about contractor parking, work hours or dumpsters. We keep our footprint small, parking one vehicle and hauling debris away the same day. If your HOA wants contractor information on file, let us know and we will provide what they ask for.
Beyond Cooper City, we regularly work in Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Pembroke Park, West Park and Miami Lakes. Share photos of your space, ceiling heights and any samples you like, and we will come back with a plan.
